[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education established and implemented an operation plan on the 1st as a follow-up measure in accordance with the enforcement of the Public Officials Conflict of Interest Prevention Act.

The plan is based on the '10 behavioral standards public officials must comply with,' including five reporting and submission requirements and five restrictions and prohibitions stipulated in the Public Officials Conflict of Interest Prevention Act. It aims to establish an operation system for the conflict of interest prevention system and to establish public service ethics among the Ulsan education family.

Specifically, it includes ▲ the revision of autonomous regulations related to the conflict of interest prevention system ▲ designation of a conflict of interest prevention officer ▲ operation of various internal and external reporting channels ▲ sending letters from the Superintendent of Education to establish the operation system.

It also includes ▲ conflict of interest prevention education ▲ promotion of the 10 behavioral standards ▲ continuous operation of a voluntary reporting system for private interests ▲ inspection of the operation of the conflict of interest prevention system to establish public service ethics among the Ulsan education family.

The special education on the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act includes education on 'private contact with retirees,' including those scheduled to retire, to prevent potential conflicts of interest that may arise in the future.

An official from the city education office said, “We plan to strengthen publicity by distributing the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act work manual and delivering lectures on the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act during on-site integrity lectures,” adding, “Along with duty inspections, we will regularly check the operation of the conflict of interest prevention system, enhance the trust of education service users, and continuously strive to elevate the level of integrity to the next stage.”
