July 2nd Classroom Instruction Improvement Capacity Building Training at Gyeongju Hwangryongwon

'Becoming a Happy Teacher Through Student-Centered Classes' Over 100 secondary school teachers participating in a capacity-building training held on July 2 at Hwangryongwon, Gyeongju.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education held a training session on July 2nd at Hwangryongwon in Gyeongju, attended by about 100 secondary school teachers, under the theme "Becoming Happy Teachers Through Student-Centered Classes" to strengthen capabilities for improving classroom instruction.

This training was organized to rediscover the essence of classroom teaching amid rapidly changing educational environments and to create classes where both students and teachers are happy.

All senior secondary teachers participated as instructors, conducting participatory training for secondary teachers on various topics such as flipped classrooms, metaverse, learning coaching, educational drama, edutech, discussion and debate, and Habru, enabling teachers to explore diverse teaching and learning strategies and cultivate the ability to implement student-led classes.

A teacher who participated in the training expressed satisfaction, saying, "In the rapidly changing school environment after COVID-19, new ideas were needed to recreate student-centered classes. This training provided an opportunity to realize that teachers can also be happy through student-centered classes, and it was a valuable time to enhance practical capabilities for improving classroom instruction."
