SK Stoa Supports Expansion of Rice Farmers' Sales Channels... "Providing Reasonable Products to Consumers"

Exclusive Sale of 'Sindongjin Rice' as the First Product

SK Stoa Supports Expansion of Rice Farmers' Sales Channels... "Providing Reasonable Products to Consumers" Shindongjin rice sold at SK Stoa.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] SK Stoa announced on the 4th that it will carry out a project to support the expansion of domestic rice sales channels to promote rice consumption and coexist with local farms.

This project was planned by SK Stoa in collaboration with local governments from major domestic rice-producing regions such as Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, and Jeolla-do to promote rice consumption. The local governments and regional cooperatives provide high-quality rice products, and SK Stoa lowers its commission fees to offer customers affordable prices.

As the first product, SK Stoa will exclusively sell ‘Sindongjin Rice’ through its online mall and mobile live commerce broadcasts in partnership with Imsil-gun and the Imsil-gun Cooperative Joint Business Corporation. The system includes milling on the day of order and direct shipment from the logistics center to provide the freshest quality. It is characterized by dividing the most commonly purchased 20kg rice product into two 10kg bags for easier storage.

On the 5th, Jeon Min, the governor of Imsil-gun, Jeollabuk-do, and Eom Gwiseop, CEO of the Imsil-gun Cooperative Joint Business Corporation, will appear directly on the SK Stoa Shopping Live broadcast. Governor Jeon said, “I am pleased that such an opportunity has arisen for the farmers in the Imsil region, and I also look forward to promoting the high-quality agricultural products of Imsil-gun.”

An SK Stoa official stated, “This product was planned not only to coexist with domestic rice farmers but also to offer better products through mobile live broadcasts. We will continue to expand this project to other regions to help promote domestic rice consumption.”
