Early KOSPI Market Gains Amid Individual and Institutional Selling

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The KOSPI index showed an upward trend in the early session on the 4th due to buying pressure from individuals and institutions.


As of 9:15 a.m. that day, the KOSPI index stood at 2,314.31, up 8.89 points (0.39%) compared to the previous trading day.


The index, which opened at 2,310.73, up 5.31 points (0.23%) from the previous trading day, showed an upward trend as individuals and institutions made net purchases worth approximately 10.4 billion KRW and 33.2 billion KRW, respectively. On the other hand, foreigners made net sales of about 43.6 billion KRW.


At the same time, the KOSDAQ index was recorded at 735.06, up 5.58 points (0.76%) from the previous trading day. Individuals are leading the rise with net purchases of about 26.6 billion KRW. Foreigners and institutions made net sales of approximately 24 billion KRW and 3.3 billion KRW, respectively.
