"Perfect Match with Beer" Seven Eleven Develops 'Cloud Dakgangjeong & Burger'

Lotte Chilsung Beverage Collaborates with 'Cloud' Beer
Developed with Beer Pairing in Mind

"Perfect Match with Beer" Seven Eleven Develops 'Cloud Dakgangjeong & Burger' Models are introducing the 'Cloud Anju Series 2 Types' at 7-Eleven.

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Seven Eleven announced on the 4th that it has launched two types of 'Cloud Anju Series,' which pair well with beer, in collaboration with Lotte Chilsung Beverage's 'Cloud' beer ahead of the summer 'beer peak season.'

The newly introduced products are 'Cloud Banban Dakgangjeong' and 'Cloud Hashbrown Burger.' These products reflect the trends of 'chicken,' a perfect match for beer, and 'hamburger + beer (HamMac),' developed with beer pairing in mind.

According to recent consumer surveys, Dakgangjeong and hamburgers rank high among anju (side dishes) purchased at convenience stores with beer, leading the two companies to develop these products through a business agreement. Seven Eleven stated, "These products were created through joint discussions on menu selection, product concept, and design between Seven Eleven Food MD and Lotte Chilsung Beverage Beer BM."

Cloud Banban Dakgangjeong features a crispy texture even when eaten cold. It is coated once more with a sweet and salty secret sauce developed to pair well with the bitter taste of beer. The box also includes chicken nuggets, wedge potatoes, and mustard sauce for a light accompaniment to the Dakgangjeong.

Cloud Hashbrown Burger is an American-style hamburger featuring hashbrowns made from Belgian potatoes, dill sauce, and ketchup mayo sauce to enhance the flavor. It is topped with grilled onions tossed in black pepper balsamic sauce for umami and cheddar cheese for a rich taste.

To celebrate the launch of the two Cloud Anju Series products, Seven Eleven offers a 10% discount on purchases of these items through the Seven App. This promotion will continue until stocks last.

Choi Yumi, head of the Seven Eleven Food Team, said, "With the summer season, when beer sales particularly increase, we anticipated a rise in demand for anju and developed these products to target that demand. We will continue to ensure that many consumers can enjoy a variety of high-quality foods through Seven Eleven."
