[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] On Monday the 4th, most regions nationwide will continue to experience heatwaves and tropical nights. Showers are expected in the central inland areas, while rain will fall in Jeju and the southern coast.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 3rd, a heatwave advisory will be in effect on the 4th, with the highest apparent temperature rising to 33-35 degrees Celsius, making it very hot. Showers will occur in the southeastern Gyeonggi region, central and southern Gangwon, Chungcheong area, and southern regions.

The highest daytime temperature on the 4th is expected to range from 28 to 35 degrees Celsius. Seoul will reach a high of 35 degrees, Suwon, Cheongju, Andong, Daejeon, and Daegu will reach 34 degrees, and Gangneung, Jeonju, and Gwangju will rise to 33 degrees.

The Meteorological Administration advised, "There is a high possibility of heat-related illnesses, so it is important to consume sufficient water and salt, and to refrain from outdoor activities during the hottest hours from 12 to 17. Avoid long hours of farming work and working alone, and livestock farmers should regulate the temperature in barns using ventilation or misting devices."

Due to atmospheric instability, showers will fall in various parts of the country. From the 3rd, the southeastern Gyeonggi region, central and southern Gangwon, Chungcheong area, and southern regions will receive about 5 to 40 mm of rain. On the 4th and 5th, inland areas nationwide will see 5 to 40 mm of rain, with some places receiving over 60 mm.

In areas with showers, there may be gusty winds accompanied by thunder and lightning, and rain could fall heavily at a rate of around 30 mm per hour.

Typhoon Aere (No. 4) will pass south of Jeju and move out to the sea near Japan, bringing rain to the southern coast and Jeju Island until the 5th. Jeju (eastern, southern, mountainous areas) is expected to receive 30 to 80 mm, the southern coast and Jeju (northern, western areas) 5 to 40 mm, and the eastern coast of Gyeongnam about 5 mm on the 5th.

On the 4th, fine dust levels are expected to be good to moderate across all regions. Incheon and southern Gyeonggi will temporarily experience 'bad' levels in the morning.

Fog reducing visibility to less than 1 km is expected in the central inland areas until dawn. In the outer seas south of Jeju Island and the outer seas east of the South Sea, where typhoon warnings are in effect, winds will blow very strongly at 10 to 18 meters per second until the 5th, with high waves.

Until the 5th, swells will flow into the coasts of Jeju and the southern coast, causing high waves to strongly surge onto sandy beaches or over rocky shores, so caution is advised for coastal safety accidents.
