KT Cloud employees are introducing the 'Cloud Farm' service at the Pangyo KT Cloud Open Space, where they can receive consultations on cloud services.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] kt Cloud announced on the 3rd that it has launched 'Cloud Farm.'
'Cloud Farm' means that institutions and companies can build and manage their own cloud server farms internally according to their needs. It is an all-in-one package utilizing kt Cloud's cloud, Internet Data Center (IDC), and network services, combining accumulated technology and know-how to provide fully managed operation and management services.
Public institutions and financial companies face difficulties adopting public clouds due to security regulations related to important and sensitive data such as personal information. On the other hand, managing all data on a private cloud involves burdens in terms of design, construction time, and costs. Nevertheless, due to the aging of business systems and the need for transition and expansion, gradual cloud adoption is necessary.
The company explained that 'Cloud Farm' provides and builds the same infrastructure package (hardware and software) as kt Cloud services on the customer's floor and connects and manages the data center and the customer via a dedicated line, thereby resolving security issues. Compared to individually designed and built private clouds, the infrastructure package reduces construction time and costs by about 20%, and unlimited expansion is possible if desired. Through 'Cloud Farm,' customers can pursue cloud transition quickly at a more reasonable cost while maintaining independence and flexibility.
With the same security system as the 'Public Cloud,' which has obtained Cloud Service Security Authentication (CSAP IaaS), it guarantees safety through highly reliable firewalls and security threat detection devices. It provides connectivity through the self-developed 'Connect Hub' and a dedicated line-based network, enabling remote operation and on-site dispatch services in emergencies. Additionally, the cloud portal offers the same user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) on the customer's infrastructure, enhancing user convenience.
