[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] On Saturday the 2nd, heatwave warnings were issued for most regions nationwide, and the hot weather will continue.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the entire country will be on the edge of the North Pacific high pressure system, resulting in very hot weather nationwide. The daytime high temperatures are forecasted to be between 28 and 36 degrees Celsius. Some areas in the Gyeongbuk region may see temperatures rise above 35 degrees Celsius.

Some areas along the East Coast, Jeju Island coast, Chungcheong region, and southern inland are also expected to experience tropical nights (nighttime low temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius or higher).

There will be occasional clouds nationwide, and in the afternoon (12:00?18:00) to evening (18:00?21:00), showers of 5 to 40 mm are expected in eastern Seoul, eastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, inland Chungcheong, inland Jeolla, inland Gyeongbuk, and western inland Gyeongnam.

Fine dust levels will be good or moderate across all regions. Sea waves in the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea coastal waters will be 0.5 to 1.0 meters high.
