[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Gori Unit 2, which had halted power generation, has resumed operation and reached 100% of its normal output.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters announced on the 1st, "We have completed the inspection and maintenance of the cause of the malfunction of Gori Unit 2 (Pressurized Water Reactor type, 650,000 kW class), which stopped power generation on June 3rd. After resuming power generation at 10:31 AM on June 30th, it reached 100% of normal output at 2:40 PM on July 1st."

The cause of the turbine generator shutdown was confirmed to be an electrical burn (arc) caused by an electrical problem in the circuit breaker supplying power to non-safety equipment. To prevent recurrence, new parts were replaced and inspections of all equipment were completed.

The Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to establish and implement follow-up measures such as strengthening temperature monitoring of related equipment and establishing detailed inspection procedures for alignment status.
