Ryu Kyung-gi, Jungnang-gu Mayor, Approves First Projects of the 8th Term in Education, Communication & Cooperation, and Economy... Inauguration Ceremony Held at Jungnang-gu Community Center on the 1st to Share Vision with Residents
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, selected education, communication and cooperation, and economic sectors as the first approved projects of the 8th local government administration on the 1st.
At 5:30 PM that day, an inauguration ceremony will be held at the Jungnang-gu Citizens' Hall Grand Theater as a communication event with residents participating together.
On the morning of the first day, Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi visited the Jangangyo Bridge site to check the flood situation at the Seoul Jungnang Water Park and Myeonmok Sports Park riverside areas and conducted an emergency inspection of facilities, starting his day. This was to prevent damage caused by continuous heavy rain and to prepare rapid recovery measures.
The approved projects of the 8th local government administration include ▲ the construction of the 2nd Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center and doubling the education budget ▲ the plan to enact an ordinance for revitalizing Jungnang-gu civil society ▲ expansion and revitalization of specialized shopping streets.
These reflect Mayor Ryu’s determination to raise the local education environment to the highest level among Seoul’s autonomous districts, increase education satisfaction, communicate and cooperate with civil society, and revitalize the local economy during the 8th local government administration.
The inauguration ceremony on the same day will be held at the Jungnang-gu Citizens' Hall Grand Theater. The district prepared the ceremony as one where residents participate and harmonize, making it an event for everyone together. Starting with a pre-performance, congratulatory messages from residents will follow. In particular, eight representatives of residents including seniors, youth, children, people with disabilities, and multicultural families will present eight ‘Flowers of Hope’ expressing their wishes for a newer Jungnang-gu, adding special meaning.
