[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the morning of the 1st at 10 a.m., Jin Byeong-yeong, the 43rd elected governor of Hamyang County in the 8th term, held an inauguration ceremony at the county office plaza.
About 500 people, including provincial council members, county council members, heads of institutions and social organizations, hometown associations, and local residents, attended the inauguration ceremony to cheer for the vigorous start of Hamyang County in the 8th term.
Before the inauguration ceremony, Governor Jin Byeong-yeong visited the Chung Hon Tower as his first official schedule to pay tribute to the patriotic martyrs by laying flowers, and held a bell-ringing ceremony at the county bell pavilion to commemorate his inauguration as the 43rd governor of Hamyang County and pledged to lead the county administration well.
In his inaugural speech, Governor Jin said, “Today, I express my heartfelt gratitude for the honorable responsibility entrusted to me by the choice of our citizens to carry out a new, dynamic, fair, and clean county administration,” and added, “I will surely fulfill this daunting and overwhelming mission together with you and build a bridge of hope that steps forward into the future.”
Governor Jin Byeong-yeong, who set ‘Hamyang with communication, integrity, fairness, and vision’ as the core value of the 8th term, said, “I will keep in mind that the first command given to me by the citizens is to create a clean county administration without any corruption or unfairness.”
Governor Jin selected five major administrative policies under the slogan ‘Strong Leap! Hamyang Opening Together’ as the direction for Hamyang County in the 8th term: ▲communicative and fair administration ▲sustainable future agriculture ▲generation-empathizing hopeful welfare ▲visionary vibrant economy ▲dynamic culture and tourism.
Key pledge projects include ▲achieving first-grade integrity ▲establishing a Youth Dream Workshop ▲building a Seasonal Worker Support Center ▲introducing new programs such as childcare, youth allowances, free transportation for the elderly, and elderly welfare ▲activating entrusted farming projects ▲constructing a youth student complex library ▲forming a task force for attracting large (and medium-sized) enterprises ▲installing an integrated training center at Hamyang Sports Complex.
