The 47th Sangcheong County Governor Lee Seunghwa is visiting the town and township offices after his inauguration.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Lee Seunghwa, the newly appointed mayor of Sancheong County, skipped the inauguration ceremony of the 47th mayor on the 1st and immediately began his duties.
According to Lee Seunghwa's wishes, Sancheong County in Gyeongnam announced that there would be no separate inauguration ceremony, and the 8th term of the local government would commence through paying respects at the Chung-hon Tower and visiting towns and townships.
Before taking office, Mayor Lee did not form a transition committee. This is interpreted as because he has continuously listened to local issues while serving as the 3rd Gyeongnam Provincial Council member and the 6th Sancheong County council member and chairman.
The 8th term of Sancheong County's local government has established the motto "New Changes, Everyone Happy Sancheong."
They set five major goals: "Vibrant Local Economy," "Prosperous Agriculture and Rural Areas," "Sharing Happiness and Hope Welfare," "Desirable Cultural Tourism," and "Trusted Empathetic Administration," planning to listen to voices from the field and find answers on-site to implement administration that residents can genuinely feel.
In particular, they plan to actively secure national budgets for pending projects such as the 2023 Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo.
Mayor Lee Seunghwa of Sancheong County emphasized, "There are many major pending issues such as the successful hosting of the Sancheong Expo next year, measures to address population decline, and expansion of insufficient urban infrastructure," adding, "We will devote all efforts to securing national budgets to promote the various projects."
He also said, "During my term, I will do my best to listen to the voices of local residents," and "I will strive to ensure that the administration is effective and substantial rather than just for show."
