Gwangju Chamber of Commerce Holds Practical Training on 2022 Value-Added Tax Filing

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on the 1st that it will hold an education session titled ‘Key Check! Points Before VAT Filing’ on the 5th.

This training was prepared to support practitioners of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region through lectures on VAT filing procedures and key contents ahead of the first term VAT final filing deadline on the 25th.

The course will cover key points necessary for VAT filing over approximately four hours, including ▲ the revised laws applicable to the first term final filing ▲ taxable transactions (supply of goods and services, zero rate, etc.) ▲ tax base and tax amount (apportionment calculation of tax base, non-deductible input tax, etc.) ▲ examples of accounting treatment for preliminary and final filings.

The instructor is Accountant Kim Woo-taek of Jinseong Accounting Corporation, well known as a regular panelist on SBS CNBC’s tax-saving strategy program ‘Tax-saving Handsome Man, Tax-saving Beautiful Woman.’

A representative of Gwangju Chamber of Commerce said, “We hope this will be an opportunity for practitioners to review key points ahead of the first term VAT final filing,” adding, “We will continue to strive to support local companies by holding training sessions and briefings at appropriate times in the future.”
