[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Suk-yeol, attending the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit, and First Lady Kim Keon-hee, visiting Madrid, Spain, visited a Korean grocery store on the 30th (local time) as their final schedule.

On the morning of the day, First Lady Kim visited a Korean grocery store located in the Maravillas Market in Madrid. She wore a yellow blouse on top and a sky-blue skirt reaching her knees on the bottom. She also wore a Republic of Korea badge on her blouse that day.

The store visited by First Lady Kim is operated by Mr. and Mrs. Jin Young-in, first-generation Korean residents in Spain. Mr. Jin has lived in Madrid for 33 years.

According to the Presidential Office, First Lady Kim expressed her gratitude while chatting with the Jin couple, saying, "The efforts of first-generation Korean residents like parents serve as a strong bridge between Korea and Spain."

Originally, First Lady Kim was scheduled to visit the Royal Opera House, a spouse program hosted by the Spanish royal family, and have a tea meeting with the wife of the Croatian president at noon, but both schedules were canceled.

The Presidential Spokesperson's Office stated, "Instead of attending the spouse program, First Lady Kim visited the Korean grocery store in the market," and added, "(The tea meeting with the Croatian first lady) was canceled because the Croatian president returned home early due to domestic issues."
