[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk is accelerating the creation of rural-type senior jobs through public-private cooperation.
The county announced on the 30th that it is promoting the ‘Senior Safety Expert Training Course’ at the Imsil Happiness Sharing Center.
The training consists of a Silver Safety Instructor (Level 2) certification course and practical training through the 119 Safety Center safety experts, running until August 19.
It is being conducted for about 20 Imsil residents who applied hoping for senior jobs.
The main training contents include ▲Introduction to Elderly Safety ▲Role of Silver Safety Instructor ▲Life Safety ▲Disaster Safety ▲Social Infrastructure Safety ▲Crime Safety ▲Health Safety ▲Water Safety ▲First Aid and CPR, etc.
Participants systematically learn life safety knowledge necessary as senior safety experts and manuals for responding to emergency situations.
The trained students will acquire the Silver Safety Instructor Level 2 certification and establish social welfare policy support and elderly care infrastructure in the aging and impoverished rural areas.
Earlier, on the 9th, the county held a business agreement ceremony at the Imsil Happiness Sharing Center with Imsil Senior Club, a local senior job specialized institution, and the Imsil-gun Village Development Council to discover rural-type senior job business models and foster professional manpower.
They aim to promote job matching such as job creation for elderly trainees nurtured through the Senior Safety Expert Training Course.
A county official said, “In rural areas where medical facilities are underdeveloped, there is a lack of professionals who can respond to emergencies, so training such safety experts targeting the elderly is very meaningful.”
He added, “Through various senior job opportunities, we hope Imsil-gun will be reborn as a desired area for returning farmers and villagers, and that multifaceted social care for the elderly can be practiced.”
