[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education is operating the nation's first Cyber Dokdo School. To devote all efforts to Dokdo education, they are developing a webtoon titled ‘Mungchi Detective Mystery Files’ to help students learn about Dokdo more easily and enjoyably.

Recognizing that webtoons are the most familiar and accessible content for students, the Office of Education has formed a development team consisting of local teachers to create Dokdo webtoon content tailored to students' perspectives.

The webtoon's title, ‘Mungchi Detective Mystery Files,’ features a fifth-grade elementary school girl protagonist who, together with her dog that hides detective abilities, investigates mysterious incidents occurring on Dokdo. Through this process, the story naturally teaches about Dokdo's beautiful natural environment, cultural environment, the people protecting Dokdo, as well as Dokdo's resources and significance.

This webtoon is scheduled to be sequentially introduced starting in July on the Dokdo Playground webtoon section of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education's Cyber Dokdo School.

Superintendent Jong-sik Lim stated, “The Gyeongbuk Office of Education is the first in the nation to open a Cyber Dokdo School, establishing a Dokdo education platform that transcends time and space, enabling not only students but all citizens to easily receive Dokdo education. I hope that the newly developed Dokdo webtoon will serve as an opportunity for students to learn about Dokdo more easily and enjoyably. Moving forward, we will continue to play a major role in protecting Dokdo at the center of Dokdo education together with all citizens.”
