Korea Bio Association and Samsung Seoul Hospital Join Hands for Promising Biohealth Technology Commercialization

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Korea Bio Association and Samsung Seoul Hospital announced on the 30th that they have signed a business agreement for industry-hospital cooperation to commercialize promising biohealth technologies.

Through this agreement, both organizations will join forces to ▲discover and nurture excellent technology ventures and startup companies ▲seek cooperation plans to promote the commercialization of research outcomes ▲combine the networks and clinical research strengths of both institutions to create global commercialization achievements in the field of biohealth technology commercialization, and engage in comprehensive cooperation.

Samsung Seoul Hospital plans to provide opportunities for technology commercialization cooperation, match clinical researchers, and offer technical advisory services, while the Korea Bio Association will support startups' global expansion, assist in joint research for commercialization, support technology transfer commercialization, and provide technology commercialization support.

Lee Seung-gyu, Vice Chairman of the Korea Bio Association, said, "Since last year, there has been a rapid increase in new member companies, and many innovative bio companies with promising new technologies exist," adding, "Going forward, member companies with strong technological capabilities will create more opportunities to develop more competitive products and services from the clinical field perspective through cooperation with Samsung Seoul Hospital, which has global competitiveness."
