According to Olive Young, men's care sales from January 1 to the 29th of this month increased by 24% compared to the same period last year. During the same period, the purchase amount of men's care products by male members increased by 36%. This is analyzed as a trend where men also directly purchase products that suit them according to their skin type or preference.
In particular, as the number of men who want to carefully manage their skin condition step by step increases, sales of skin, lotion, and sets in basic cosmetics surged by 130%. In color cosmetics, foundation, color lip balm, and eyebrow products recorded high growth rates in that order.
A special exhibition will also be held on the Olive Young online mall. Until the 10th of next month, more than 190 men's care products will be carefully selected and offered at additional discounted prices under three themes: skincare, body products, and manner care to solve men's skin and area-specific concerns.
An Olive Young official said, “As more men invest in appearance management for themselves, the men's beauty market is expanding beyond basic cosmetics to categories such as color cosmetics, hair, and body products,” adding, “We will continue to expand the expertise and variety of men's care products so that customers can easily and conveniently access and purchase men's care products.”
