GS25 Launches Full-Scale Sales of Cookat Products... Targeting the MZ Generation A model is introducing a Cookat product at the convenience store GS25.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] GS Retail announced on the 30th that starting from the 1st of next month, it will sell up to 25 of Cookat's best products nationwide through GS25 stores.


The Cookat best products being introduced include Strawberry Ssok Milk Chapssaltteok, Spicy Cream Dakgalbi, and Ham Bomb Budae Jjigae. Previously, GS Retail had designated Hapjeong Premium Branch, Suwon Haengnidan-gil Branch, and Sillim Nanwoo Branch as Cookat specialized stores, expanding the product lineup to up to about 90 items by installing exclusive shelves, and additionally operated about 270 stores as Cookat enhanced stores.


In the case of Cookat specialized stores, from January to June this year, sales of frozen desserts and frozen side dishes were 71 times and 19 times higher, respectively, than those of regular stores. Among consumers who purchased Cookat products, those in their 10s to 30s accounted for 82% of the total composition ratio.


From the 1st to the 31st of next month, GS25's My Own Refrigerator mobile application (app) will hold a stamp event. After purchasing Cookat products at GS25 stores and accumulating GS& Points in the app, customers can enter the event by collecting 3 stamps. After the event ends, prizes such as 2 airline tickets to Hawaii and ultra-luxury hotel accommodation vouchers will be awarded through a draw.


A GS Retail official said, "Ahead of the nationwide launch of these Cookat products at GS25, we maintained the original taste and quality while renewing the design packaging and downsizing the capacity to release the products optimized for convenience stores." He added, "In the future, besides the existing Cookat best products, we plan to develop and launch new and attractive products incorporating the know-how of both companies."
