[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Paldo announced on the 30th that it will newly launch the product "King Ttukgyeong Flavor Popcorn."
King Ttukgyeong Flavor Popcorn is the second brand X snack collaboration product following Paldo's release of "Paldo Bibim Chip 2 types" in May last year. With the launch of the new product, Paldo plans to expand its snack lineup from the existing two types to three and target the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) seeking unique spicy flavors.
King Ttukgyeong Flavor Popcorn captures the fiery spicy taste unique to King Ttukgyeong in popcorn. To enhance the delicious spiciness, savory popcorn is seasoned with a self-developed "King Ttukgyeong Flavor Seasoning." According to internal analysis, the seasoning's spiciness measures 7,400 SHU on the Scoville scale, blending fiery heat and saltiness to deliver a "spicy and salty" flavor profile.
A Paldo representative said, "The new product was designed to enjoy the spiciness of King Ttukgyeong in a snack rather than ramen," adding, "We plan to continue introducing various collaboration products for the MZ generation seeking distinctive spicy flavors."
Meanwhile, King Ttukgyeong, launched as a limited edition in February this year, gained great popularity immediately and was converted into a regular product. The cumulative sales volume is about 5 million units. The product will be available for purchase on major online channels starting from the 6th of next month, with plans to expand sales channels offline in the future.
