[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Doosan Construction announced on the 29th that it has donated approximately 75 million KRW to support a health guardian project for vulnerable groups in the southeastern Gyeonggi region.
Doosan Construction, a sponsor of the Dream Tour KLPGA held from the 27th to the 29th, collaborated with the Korean Red Cross to provide support for vulnerable groups living near the Quro CC golf course where the golf tournament took place.
Doosan Construction donated the entire fund from the Community Chest of Korea to the "Hope Windmill Partnership Household Health Guardian Project" to provide basic living supplies to vulnerable groups, alleviate economic hardship, and ensure a safe and healthy life through basic living and emotional support for those exposed to welfare blind spots.
Kwon Kyung-hoon, Chairman of Doosan Construction, said, "I would like to once again express my gratitude to the Community Chest of Korea, the Korean Red Cross, and KLPGA officials for helping us use the employees' donations for such a meaningful cause," adding, "Doosan Construction will continue to take the lead in practicing various sharing activities for socially vulnerable groups."
