The headquarters formed a team of 23 members from the 119 Special Rescue Unit to save lives from water-related accidents during the summer season, conducting training from the 20th to the 30th of this month.

The training focused on ▲improving response capabilities at summer water accident sites ▲familiarizing with search and rescue methods using underwater search equipment such as underwater drones and underwater sonar detectors, as well as aerial search equipment.

Kwon Seonghwan, head of the 119 Special Rescue Unit, said, “Summer water accident sites are full of dangerous situations, and without thorough training, rapid rescue is difficult. We will continue to enhance the professional skills of rescue team members through ongoing education and training.”
