iHerb Launches New Products Including 'CGN Brain Health'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] iHerb announced on the 29th the launch of 'CGN Brain Health,' a new product from its private brand (PB) California Gold Nutrition (CGN), which helps improve cognitive function.

CGN Brain Health contains 'phosphatidylserine,' known as a 'brain nutrient.' Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid that makes up the membranes of brain nerve cells and activates neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine and dopamine, aiding memory improvement. It also contributes to the cell membrane function that removes waste from cells.

It also contains 'alpha-glyceryl phosphoryl choline,' which helps brain health. This is a form of 'choline' present in all human cells and promotes the synthesis and growth of acetylcholine, a major neurotransmitter, thereby aiding cognitive improvements such as memory, concentration, and learning ability.

Phosphatidylserine is an essential element for the growth and maintenance of brain cells but is not produced in the body, so it must be ingested directly. However, 100 mg of phosphatidylserine is equivalent to nearly 9 kg of soybeans, making it more convenient to consume as a supplement rather than as food. Glyceryl phosphoryl choline can also be obtained from chicken liver, egg yolks, soybeans, beef, milk, peanuts, etc., but taking it as a refined and concentrated supplement allows for faster absorption in the body.

In addition, iHerb also introduced 'CGN Zinc-L-Carnosine,' which helps regenerate the stomach lining, and 'HealthyBiome Digestion & Immunity Pre+Probiotics,' which supports digestive health and immunity.
