[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] DGB Daegu Bank is holding a collaboration event called ‘DGB Hot Place Savings’ X ‘Chi-Maek Festival Event’ in celebration of the opening of the Daegu Chi-Maek Festival.

The Daegu Chi-Maek Festival, held from the 6th to the 10th of next month at Daegu Duryu Park, is resuming this year after a three-year hiatus due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19 in the past two years.

This event was prepared as a way to celebrate the region’s representative festival following the lifting of COVID-19 social distancing measures and to support its advancement into a global 100-year festival.

First, an event will be held to give discount coupons that can be used on-site to customers who subscribe to the DGB Hot Place Savings.

Customers who subscribe to the ‘DGB Hot Place Savings x Chi-Maek Festival’ product by July 5, the day before the festival opens, will receive a 10,000 KRW discount coupon usable at the event venue.

Customers who subscribe to the product during the festival period from July 6 to 10 will receive a 5,000 KRW discount coupon. Additionally, a raffle event will be held for customers who subscribed but could not attend the event, with prizes such as chicken gifticons and Naver Pay coupons.

The DGB Hot Place Savings, which offers preferential interest rates when customers verify their location at Daegu and Gyeongbuk tourist spots using the IM Bank app, provides a basic interest rate of 2.10% per annum plus a preferential interest rate of 1.50%p, offering up to a maximum of 3.60% per annum.

When verifying visits around Duryu Park, the venue of the 2022 Daegu Chi-Maek Festival, an additional preferential interest rate of 0.15%p is applied.

Fifty-five representative local tourist attractions, including Daegu’s Kim Kwang-seok Street and Gyeongbuk’s Homigot, can be checked through the IM Bank app’s DGB Hot Place Savings tourist guide menu and the website.

Im Seong-hoon, President of DGB Daegu Bank, said, “We have launched a limited commemorative product to celebrate the region’s representative festival held after three years and to ensure its successful progress. We hope for active participation from the public through various on-site events and discount benefits at the DGB Daegu Bank booth during the event period, and we wish for the festival to grow beyond a local event into a 100-year global festival.”
