[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The outline of the ‘Kim Young-rok administration’ route for the 8th term of local government has been established.

The Vision and Pledge Committee for the 8th term held a plenary meeting on the 28th and announced that, based on the committee’s activities so far, it has comprehensively organized and summarized the vision, guidelines, strategies, pledges, and policy tasks to be proposed to Jeollanam-do.

The meeting was held with the attendance of 54 people, including Choi Il, co-chairman of the Vision and Pledge Committee, each subcommittee member, advisors, and heads of Jeonnam provincial government departments.

The committee discussed the vision, guidelines, and strategies for the 8th term provincial administration, and continued with reports and discussions on the activities of each subcommittee and the organized pledges and policy tasks.

Since its launch on the 9th, the committee has carefully reviewed the feasibility of the governor’s pledges for the 8th term through plenary meetings, subcommittee meetings, and field forums over about 20 days, merging similar pledges and discovering new ones.

Projects that were not included in the pledges but deemed essential were also selected as policy tasks.

New pledges include ▲Promotion of the Jeonnam 100-year-old Senior Health and Happiness Project ▲Creation of a Space Science Launch Vehicle Theme Park ▲Attracting startup-centered universities to spread youth entrepreneurship ▲Expansion of coverage for the Residents’ Safety Mutual Aid Insurance, among others.

In particular, diverse voices of residents were collected through field forums.

The Planning Subcommittee visited Mokpo 1897 Open Port Cultural Street to hear the opinions of young people, and at Yeosu National Industrial Complex, they listened to suggestions regarding safety management issues in the national industrial complex.

Policy Subcommittee 1 visited Yeosu Eco Energy Hub to discuss the creation of a hydrogen industry ecosystem and carbon neutrality response measures, while Policy Subcommittee 2 gathered public opinion on tidal flat preservation and utilization plans and agricultural and fishery development at the National Tidal Flat Wetland Garden.
