Enjoy the Summer Night Atmosphere While Viewing Cheongwadae

An event to enjoy the summer night atmosphere while viewing Cheongwadae is being prepared. The Cultural Heritage Administration's Cheongwadae Public Opening Promotion Team and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation announced on the 28th that from July 20 to August 1, they will hold "Cheongwadae, A Midsummer Night's Walk." The event involves touring the main facilities of Cheongwadae with a guide while the night lighting is on. It starts at 7:30 PM and 8:10 PM, lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes. This is the first time Cheongwadae will be open for nighttime viewing. Currently, visiting hours end at 6 PM.

Visitors enter through the main gate, pass through the Grand Garden, and tour the interior of the Main Building where the presidential office is located. They enjoy drinks and music at the residence where the president lived. Then, they proceed to Sangchunjae, where foreign dignitary invitation events were held, and the Green Garden filled with majestic Bansong pine trees, before exiting through the main gate. A Cultural Heritage Administration official stated, "In the case of Sangchunjae, the windows will be opened and lights turned on so visitors can see the interior."

Tickets can be purchased from 10 AM on the 28th via Interpark Ticket, with a limit of two tickets per person. Seniors aged 65 and over, persons with disabilities, and national merit recipients can also apply by phone. The Promotion Team will select participants through a lottery. Each session has a capacity of fifty people. Winners will be announced on the 14th of next month.
