From June 30 to July 1, at Changwon SECO
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The ‘Gyeongnam Tourism Job Fair’ will be held from June 30 to July 1 at Changwon Convention Center (CECO) Rooms 301 and 302 in Seongsan-gu, Changwon City.
The job fair, co-hosted by Gyeongnam Province and the Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation, will feature over 20 tourism-related companies including travel agencies, hotels, and resorts within the province.
According to the province, tourism startup resident companies at the Gyeongnam Tourism Enterprise Support Center such as Jetwake and Ittaoji will also participate.
Through the job fair, E-Land’s Kensington Resort will recruit personnel for front desk duties including room reservation and payment, food and beverage departments, and chefs. Vitamin Air Travel Agency and others will also hire travel product sales staff and office workers.
Companies seeking talent for digital marketing will participate in the job fair to meet job seekers.
A provincial official stated, “The Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation and the Gyeongnam Tourism Enterprise Support Center have prepared 20 booths for companies and coordinated schedules among participating companies to enable as many companies as possible to join. Participating companies are provided with booths, matching with job seekers, and interview scheduling free of charge.”
Job seekers interested in the tourism field and related work will have opportunities for job counseling and on-site interviews at each booth during the event.
Side events such as hair and makeup for employment success, resume photo shoots, and cafe beverage services will also be operated at the venue.
Those wishing to participate can pre-register on the Gyeongnam Tourism Enterprise Support Center website by 3 PM on June 29 or register on-site on the day of the event.
Shim Sangcheol, Director of Tourism Promotion Division, said, “Last year, due to COVID-19, the event was held on a small scale and few people found jobs through the recruitment event. However, this year, many companies are looking to hire and inquiries from job seekers are flooding in, so more people will gain employment. We will continue to expand recruitment and job opportunities to revitalize the Gyeongnam tourism industry.”
Jung Yeondu, Secretary General of the Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation, said, “The job fair is not only a consultation window between job seekers and recruiting companies but also prepares various events for general participants, so it is worth looking forward to.”
