Renault Korea Launches Lotteria in In-Car Payment Service

In-Car Payment Registered Vehicles Reach 57% This May

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Korea Motors announced on the 28th that the fast food brand Lotteria will be added as a franchise to its simple payment system In-Car Payment, which allows ordering, payment, and product pickup all within the vehicle.

Renault Korea Motors customers can order and receive a total of 82 popular Lotteria menu items, including burgers, chicken, beverages, desserts, and burger sets, through the In-Car Payment Lotteria service while inside their cars. A key feature is that customers complete their orders before visiting the store and pick up their food at a dedicated pickup zone, significantly reducing waiting time at the store.

Renault Korea Motors and Lotteria began pilot operations at three locations?Sinjeongnegeori Station Branch, Incheon Yeonhui DT Branch, and Gimhae Naeoe DI Branch?starting from the 24th of this month, and plan to gradually expand the range of stores offering the service.

Renault Korea Motors is steadily expanding In-Car Payment franchises targeting popular franchise brands and customer-recommended popular restaurants. Customer usage rates are also continuously increasing. The cumulative usage rate compared to registered In-Car Payment vehicles rose from 13% in September last year, when the number of compatible vehicles expanded through over-the-air (OTA) wireless communication updates, to 57% in May this year.

Kim Taejun, Head of Sales and Marketing at Renault Korea Motors, explained, “Renault Korea Motors’ In-Car Payment allows franchise stores to provide convenient drive-pickup services to consumers without additional facility investment, as long as there is a parking space available in front of the store,” adding, “Renault Korea Motors will continue to expand a new drive-pickup service ecosystem that satisfies both consumers and franchise stores.”
