Global management strategy consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Korea announced a large-scale promotion and the recruitment of new executives.


Choi In-jin was promoted from MD Partner to Senior MD Partner, Park Young-ho and Song Ji-yeon were promoted to MD Partners, and Yoo Seung-hoon was newly recruited as an MD Partner.


Senior MD Partner Choi In-jin is an expert in the energy and heavy industries sectors and also serves as the head of BCG Korea's industrial goods division. He joined BCG in 2006 and has provided consulting on various topics such as mid-to-long-term strategy, new business, and market development. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical design from Seoul National University and earned an MBA and a Master of Engineering Management (MEM) from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in the United States.


MD Partner Park Young-ho joined BCG in 2010 and has actively advised major domestic and international financial institutions and fintech companies on innovation, mergers and acquisitions, and digital transformation. He also worked at BCG's Tokyo office in Japan in 2013. He majored in management engineering at KAIST.


MD Partner Song Ji-yeon is an expert in the consumer goods sector and has provided consulting to various companies engaged in domestic and international large-scale retail, e-commerce, logistics, global cosmetics, fashion/luxury, and food businesses. She joined BCG in 2007 and worked at BCG's Tokyo office from 2011 to 2013. She majored in business administration and English literature at Yonsei University.


Newly recruited MD Partner Yoo Seung-hoon is an expert in the automotive and industrial goods sectors, including electric vehicles. Before joining BCG, he served as head of the automotive division at consulting firm Roland Berger and has over 15 years of consulting experience. He majored in systems engineering at the University of Washington in the United States.


With this large-scale promotion, BCG Korea has become a mega consulting firm with a total of 22 MD Partners, including 5 Senior MD Partners and 17 MD Partners. MD Partners at BCG are registered executives of global BCG, hold a certain equity stake in the company, and have the right to elect the global CEO.
