(Madrid, Spain = Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan) Kim Geon-hee, the wife of President Yoon Seok-yeol, made a surprise appearance aboard Air Force One en route to Madrid, Spain, to attend the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) summit.

On the 27th (Korean time), President Yoon held an unexpected 10-minute meeting with the press delegation on board. During this meeting, after greeting each journalist individually, President Yoon responded to reporters asking about Mrs. Kim by saying, "She was wearing clothes earlier..." and personally brought Mrs. Kim to introduce her to the reporters.

This was Mrs. Kim's first official meeting with the press, and when asked about her condition, she responded with a brief "Thank you" instead of answering the questions. Afterwards, at Barajas International Airport, Mrs. Kim descended the stairs holding hands with President Yoon. President Yoon shook hands with the welcoming officials in turn, then boarded a waiting vehicle and headed to the accommodation.

During this NATO summit schedule, Mrs. Kim is expected to support as her 'debut in multilateral diplomacy.' Drawing on her experience operating Kobana Contents and hosting performances and art exhibitions, she plans to engage in related activities, including attending the session for spouses of attending country leaders in Madrid, Spain, and carrying out at least five public events.

On the 28th (local time), she is scheduled to attend a gala dinner hosted by King Felipe VI and the Queen of Spain at the Madrid Palace, as well as visit the Spanish Royal Palace tour, the Royal Glass Factory, the Sofia Royal Museum of Art, and is expected to appear alongside President Yoon at a dinner meeting with the Korean community in Spain.
