Formation and Meeting of the Emergency Medical Policy Council

Jeonnam Fire announced on the 27th that it formed and held a meeting of the 'Emergency Medical Policy Council' to establish a collaborative system among regional emergency medical institutions.
To improve pre-hospital on-site response management and the emergency medical system, 21 workers from the Fire Headquarters and regional emergency medical institutions in the province attended.
The meetings were held sequentially in three sessions by region from May 13 to June 24, with participation from Mokpo Hanguk Hospital, Suncheon Seonggaro Hospital, and Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital.
Main topics included ▲ conducting training with regional medical institutions to enhance disaster site response capabilities ▲ establishing practical and skill-based programs related to special training for paramedics ▲ discussing the need to cultivate education instructors mainly composed of regional paramedic supervisors ▲ exploring ways to activate the 119 Safe Call registration project and other measures to improve the survival rate of severe emergency patients in the future.
Fire Chief Kim Joil said, “We will make every effort to promote the development of emergency medical services by creating a communication platform through a council between the fire department and emergency medical institutions to strengthen ties.”
