The city decided to re-extend the 50% discount system on agricultural machinery rental fees, which has been in effect from January 2 to June 30, until December 31, starting from July 1.

This additional extension was decided considering the overall social difficulties caused by COVID-19 and the sharp rise in prices of agricultural machinery, which have intensified the hardships faced by farmers.

In particular, the worsening labor shortage in rural agricultural sites was also an important factor in the fourth 50% rental fee reduction for agricultural machinery. Temporary 50% rental fee reductions have been implemented three times from April 2020 to the end of June this year.

The city holds 380 units of 95 types of rental agricultural machinery, including walking-type cultivators, vinyl covering machines, and disc plows, at the Sacheon City Agricultural Technology Center rental site.
