KOFIA Opens 'Global Alternative Investment Australia' Course

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea Financial Investment Association's Financial Investment Education Institute is launching the 'Global Alternative Investment Australia' course to enhance the global alternative investment capabilities of the financial investment industry and pension funds.

The Financial Investment Association announced that it will recruit students for the Global Alternative Investment Australia course until July 15. The course period is from August 27 to September 4.

Participants will visit local Australian financial institutions to gain an understanding of the overall Australian financial market and learn alternative investment strategies and investment know-how in the real estate, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

In particular, instructors from global asset management firms in the real estate and infrastructure sectors such as Macquarie Asset Management, IFM Investors, ISPT, and executives from Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) in Australia will participate to provide insights on the Australian alternative investment market post-pandemic and review actual investment cases in real estate, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors.

Additionally, the Financial Investment Education Institute plans to co-host a networking event with the Australia-Korea Business Cooperation Committee (AKBC) to offer students opportunities to directly communicate with various local financial companies and sovereign wealth funds. Applications and detailed information can be found on the Financial Investment Education Institute's website.
