[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Federation of SMEs have selected CEO Noh Sang-chul of Shinil Frame (photo) as the 'Proud Small Business Person' for the second quarter of 2022, and the award ceremony will be held on the 28th.
Shinil Frame is a company that manufactures and sells picture frames and architectural decorative moldings, founded by CEO Noh who started a frame shop in Gwanghwamun in 1971 and incorporated the business in 1994. Over more than 50 years, it has developed expertise in a single product line and grown into a strong small enterprise that exported $21.66 million to over 60 countries worldwide last year.
Since February 1999, CEO Noh has served as the chairman of the Korea Frame Industry Cooperative, participating jointly with the industry in overseas exhibitions of new products and new materials to open sales channels worldwide. He is striving to enhance the competitiveness of domestic companies by raising awareness, improving quality, and reducing costs.
Meanwhile, the 'Proud Small Business Person' award is a system established by the Korea Federation of SMEs and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to discover and reward outstanding entrepreneurs who have contributed to national industrial development by promoting exemplary small business owners. The next application period is scheduled for July next year, and inquiries can be made to the Corporate Growth Department of the Korea Federation of SMEs.
