Bus and Subway 30% Discount 'Tmoney Pay & GO Shinhan Card' Launched


[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Shinhan Card announced on the 27th that it has launched the 'Tmoney Pay & GO Shinhan Card,' a mobility-specialized PLCC in collaboration with Tmoney.


The Tmoney Shinhan Card offers up to a 30% discount when using various transportation modes for travel. Users can receive a 30% discount on buses and subways, and a 20% discount when using express/intercity buses, taxis (Tmoneyonda), electric kickboards (Ssingssing), and Seoul's shared bicycles (Ddarungi).


A monthly integrated discount limit is applied based on the previous month's spending. For spending between 300,000 KRW and less than 500,000 KRW, a 7,000 KRW discount applies; for spending between 500,000 KRW and less than 1,000,000 KRW, a 12,000 KRW discount applies; and for spending over 1,000,000 KRW, an 18,000 KRW discount applies.


Additionally, this card includes lifestyle discount services closely related to daily life such as shopping, convenience stores, telecommunications, and coffee. Users can get a 5% discount at major department stores including Hyundai, Shinsegae, Lotte, and Galleria, as well as a 5% discount at convenience stores like GS25 and CU.


Furthermore, if SKT, KT, or LGU+ mobile phone bills are automatically paid with this card, a 5% discount is applied, and a 5% discount is also available at coffee specialty stores such as Starbucks and Coffee Bean.


The lifestyle discount services also have a monthly integrated discount limit based on the previous month's spending: 5,000 KRW for spending between 300,000 KRW and less than 500,000 KRW; 10,000 KRW for spending between 500,000 KRW and less than 1,000,000 KRW; and 15,000 KRW for spending over 1,000,000 KRW.


The annual fee for this card is 18,000 KRW for overseas use (Mastercard) and 15,000 KRW for domestic use only.
