[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Bo-ryeong] On the 26th, Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, stated, "The Ministry of the Interior and Safety has issued an authoritative interpretation that official documents received by ministries or agencies from the Presidential Office cannot be considered presidential records."
On the same day, Ha said through his Facebook, "A door has opened that can lead us closer to the truth of the Marine Ministry official shooting incident." Ha serves as the head of the People Power Party's 'Task Force (TF) for the Truth Investigation of the Marine Ministry Official Shooting Incident.'
Along with this, Ha attached the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's authoritative interpretation in response to his inquiry about whether official documents sent from the Presidential Office to each ministry or agency qualify as designated records.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety explained in their response, "Documents sent from the Presidential Office and received by ministries or agencies are under the management authority of the respective agencies and therefore cannot be considered presidential records, and accordingly are excluded from the designation target."
In response, Ha said, "All Blue House directives received by national institutions such as the Coast Guard and the Ministry of National Defense can be obtained by the National Assembly," adding, "Based on the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's authoritative interpretation, we have requested all Blue House directive documents received by agencies. The substance of the incident is gradually being revealed."
