Drunken Son Brutally Beats 80-Year-Old Father to Death

According to the Busan Gijang Police Station on the 26th, Mr. A, in his 50s, assaulted his father Mr. B, in his 80s, all over his face and body at a villa in Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun around 1 a.m. on the 25th, causing his death.

Mr. A, intoxicated, returned home and reported to the police and fire department around 8:30 a.m. on the 25th that the entrance door was locked. When police and firefighters arrived, they found Mr. B deceased in the master bedroom.

The police, suspecting a crime, urgently arrested Mr. A on charges of killing a direct ascendant in front of his house around 1 p.m. that day.

Mr. A denied the charges, saying "I don't remember," but the Gijang Police Station's violent crimes team considers him the prime suspect and plans to investigate the motive and apply for an arrest warrant.
