Opening Ceremony of Nutieul Park Water Playground

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 25th at 11:30 a.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the opening ceremonies held at four water play areas within parks.

The opening ceremonies were held in the order of Neutiul, Deulgukhwa, Hannae, and Gongneung-dong parks.

There are a total of five water play areas opening this time: ▲Gaksim (555 Wolgye 2-dong) ▲Gongneung-dong (63 Gongneung 2-dong) ▲Deulgukhwa (501 Junggye 2,3-dong) ▲Neutiul (741 Sanggye 6,7-dong) ▲Hannae (1-1 Wolgye 3-dong) parks. These water play areas will operate for 65 days from June 25 to August 28. However, Gaksim Children's Park will operate for only one month during July and August after consultation with residents of the surrounding complexes.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, Chairperson Choi Yoon-nam of the district council, city and district council members, and local residents, and proceeded in the order of greetings, congratulatory speeches, opening ceremony, and rounds.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon-gu said, “Many people were disappointed as the water play areas could not be opened for two years due to COVID-19,” and added, “I hope everyone enjoys a cool summer at the water play areas this summer.”

On the 25th at 10 a.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the Nowon Social Economy Workers’ Conference ‘Healing Sports Day’ held in the large auditorium on the 2nd floor of Nowon-gu Office.

Hosted by the Nowon Social Economy Support Center and the Nowon Social Economy Solidarity Social Cooperative, this event was organized to promote pride among social economy workers and village community activists through friendship and mutual exchange, and to activate mutual solidarity among local economic actors and village activists.

The event was attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, Chairperson Choi Yoon-nam of the district council, city and district council members, and officials related to Nowon social economy, and proceeded in the order of congratulatory speeches, oath-taking by athlete representatives, group photo, and healing sports day.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon-gu said, “We will continue to spare no support to make Nowon-gu a mecca of social economy.”
