Expansion of Seoul-Style Kids Cafes to 20... 'Seoul Festa' Showcasing K-Pop and Seoul Tourism Attractions
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The ‘Seoul-style Kids Cafe,’ which guarantees the right to play for all children, will be expanded to 20 locations by the second half of this year. A service that allows customers to choose reusable containers instead of disposable ones when ordering through delivery apps will also be expanded from one location in Gangnam-gu to Gwanak-gu and Gwangjin-gu starting in July.
In particular, the renovated ‘Gwanghwamun Square’ will open in the second half of the year, and in August, the global tourism festival ‘Seoul Festa 2022,’ which showcases the charm of Seoul including K-pop, will be held. During this period, the world-renowned electric car racing event ‘Seoul E-Prix 2022 (SEOUL E-PRIX 2022)’ will also take place.
On the 26th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will publish ‘2022 Second Half Changes in Seoul Life,’ which compiles various information related to citizens’ daily lives, including newly implemented systems, public facilities about to open, and upcoming festivals for the second half of this year.
‘2022 Second Half Changes in Seoul Life’ is composed of a total of 31 projects categorized under the four future visions presented in the Seoul master plan ‘Seoul Vision 2030’: ▲6 projects for a Coexistence City ▲9 projects for a Safe City ▲5 projects for a Global Leading City ▲11 projects for a Future Sensibility City. To help citizens easily find the information they want according to their individual needs, the booklet includes pages at the beginning titled ‘Changes in Seoul Life by Month’ and ‘New Spaces in Seoul on the Map.’
The main text highlights the core content of each project for easy reference, while detailed information such as usage methods and precautions is explained in a Q&A format. ‘2022 Second Half Changes in Seoul Life’ will be published as an e-book and can be accessed by anyone on the Seoul city ‘e-book homepage’ and ‘Information Communication Plaza.’ It is also available on ‘Seoul in My Hands,’ Seoul’s representative communication portal.
Kim Ui-seung, Director of Planning and Coordination at Seoul City, said, “The ‘2022 Second Half Changes in Seoul Life’ we are publishing this time contains useful information that benefits citizens, including new Seoul city policies and facilities opening soon. We will produce and introduce ‘Changes in Seoul Life’ more thoroughly so that citizens can see Seoul city policies for them at a glance.”
