New Products with Unique Resort Vibes Launched One After Another for Those Spending Summer Vacation Domestically
As COVID-19 enters the endemic phase (periodic outbreaks of infectious diseases), expectations for summer vacations are growing. Many are considering overseas travel, but persistent concerns about COVID-19, limited flights, and the high cost of airfare make it difficult to venture abroad easily. In response, domestic hotels are competing to offer unique vacation packages that bring a different resort vibe for those who want to spend their summer holidays within Korea instead of overseas.
Haevichi Hotel & Resort Jeju operates a "Beach Club" that evokes the atmosphere of a Hawaiian summer resort. The Beach Club is set up on a lawn plaza next to an outdoor swimming pool with a panoramic ocean view. Under palm trees, straw parasols, rattan sunbeds, and tables are prepared, making guests feel as if they are at an overseas resort. They also offer the "Book Your Summer Package," which includes Beach Club access. The package includes hotel rooms, breakfast buffet, indoor and outdoor pools with ocean views, and 2 hours of Beach Club use. A set of chicken and two draft beers is provided, along with a mesh mini bag, which is very useful in summer. The package is available for stays of two nights or more.
AC Hotel by Marriott Seoul Gangnam launched the "Floating Dining Package," which offers food and beverage service on a floating tray in the room terrace pool, giving guests a feeling of being in Bali, Indonesia. This package is available in the "Premier Pool Suite" and "Premier Pool Room," allowing guests to relax in a private pool attached to the room and enjoy exotic food and beverage service. The floating dining menu offers a choice of dessert, brunch, or ham and cheese. It also includes "La Crasade," a wine from the Languedoc region in southern France.
Lotte Hotel Jeju presents the "Suite Moment" package until September 1. The rooms are categorized into Deluxe Mountain Suite, Premier Ocean Suite, and Pool Villa Suite. The Pool Villa Suite, in particular, is a luxury pool villa reminiscent of a high-end Southeast Asian resort, featuring an infinity edge pool. The package includes breakfast for two at The Canvas, two signature cocktails at The Lounge & Bar, one serving of The Lounge & Bar's Comt? cheese goug?res, and one Linden Leaves organic In Bloom bath bomb.
Grand Hyatt Seoul opened its popular outdoor pool in the heart of the city, known for its exotic atmosphere, and launched the "Summer Splash" package that includes outdoor pool access. The outdoor pool at Grand Hyatt Seoul combines exotic interior design, a spacious lawn relaxation area, and panoramic views of Seoul, creating a resort-like atmosphere. The package includes one night’s stay and one-time outdoor pool admission. It is divided into two types based on pool usage time: "Morning Splash" and "Afternoon Splash."
Some hotels have prepared gourmet promotions where guests can experience overseas flavors and atmospheres. Four Seasons Hotel Seoul operates the outdoor lounge bar "Pica Pica" on the 15th-floor garden terrace until September 30, offering authentic Mexican cuisine and beverages. They invited female chef Maritza Cortes from Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas (Mexico) to provide distinctive Mexican dishes. The menu features authentic items such as seafood ceviche, tacos with ribs and tripe, and Mexican BBQ dishes like barbacoa.
Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun Hotel & Residence Gourmet Bar is running the "Tex-Mex Starry Night" promotion, allowing guests to enjoy the travel vibe of Texas, USA. The Tex-Mex platter menu includes sirloin steak and chicken fajitas, with additional side dishes like lamb steak and lobster available. Unlimited draft beer, one bottle of red, white, or sparkling wine, and two bourbon whiskey cocktails are also provided. The promotion runs from 6 PM to 9 PM.
Interest is also rising in healing vacations that allow guests to spend leisurely time in tranquil spaces harmonized with nature. Rolling Hills Hotel features a garden filled with over 50 species of trees and plants, allowing guests to enjoy lush natural scenery from rooms, pools, and restaurants. Rolling Hills Hotel launched the "Cool Summer Night Package," which includes one night in a standard room, breakfast buffet for two, and access to the indoor pool with garden views. A set of fried chicken and two beers, perfect for after water activities, and a mini bag are also provided. The package is available for stays until August 31.
Kensington Hotel Pyeongchang offers the "Luxury Glamping Package" until November 30, where guests can enjoy a barbecue party in a glamping village set in a fir forest. Guests can breathe fresh air and enjoy forest bathing during the day, and experience the romance of glamping barbecue in the evening. The village is equipped with luxurious cabanas, bed-type sofas, TVs, refrigerators, and various amenities. The Luxury Glamping Package includes one night’s stay, breakfast for two, and a luxury glamping barbecue dinner for two.
