Lee Gye-in Confesses Fraudulent Marriage: "My Wife Had a Lover She'd Been Seeing for Over 10 Years"

[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Actor Lee Gye-in confessed to having been a victim of a fraudulent marriage in the past.

On the 22nd, MBN's 'Sokpuri Show Dongchimi' (hereafter Dongchimi) released a pre-release video on Naver TV titled 'Actor Lee Gye-in's First Confession! Wife Disappeared After Marriage! Was with a Man in His 60s?!'

In the video, Lee Gye-in said that his first marriage was a scam marriage. He said, "I informed my family about the marriage and quickly set the date," adding, "But (after the marriage) my wife didn't come home for several days."

Afterwards, to find his wife, Lee Gye-in even reported to the police. He recalled, "I was afraid to answer the phone. The police said, 'We caught (your wife), so come now,' but on the way there, I hoped everything was a lie," and added, "My legs were shaking so much that I couldn't enter the police station."

At the police station, upon reuniting with his wife, Lee Gye-in learned a shocking fact. He said, "My wife was sitting with a man in his 60s," and explained, "He was a married man who had been acting as her sponsor since she was young. The two had been seeing each other for over 10 years." He continued, "When her lover went bankrupt, their relationship grew distant, and she secretly married me during that gap."
