[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Digital therapeutics (DTx) development company Rowan announced on the 22nd that it has been selected as one of the 'CORE 100' promising companies for overseas investment attraction, organized by the Seoul Investment Agency.
The Seoul Investment Agency is a dedicated foreign investment attraction organization established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to attract capital from global companies and investors. On the 19th, it selected 38 companies in the first round out of 100 competitive startups for the CORE 100. The selected companies possess core technologies in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), bio-healthcare, fintech-blockchain, information and communication, robotics, fashion, and media content.
Rowan, which provides the cognitive improvement program Superbrain, was included in the first selection list. Superbrain is a digital cognitive intervention program for patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). It has proven multi-intervention effects in five areas: cognitive learning, vascular risk factor management, exercise, nutrition, and motivation, and currently provides services to over 50 dementia relief centers, welfare centers, university hospitals, and clinics.
Han Seung-hyun, CEO of Rowan, said, “Being selected as a famous company for overseas investment attraction, coinciding with our exploratory clinical trials in the UK this year and our entry into the US market in the second half, is a very encouraging achievement. We will actively strive to overcome dementia, using the CORE 100 selection as a stepping stone.”
