Regional Group Collaboration: Support for Hairdressing, Bathing, and Side Dishes

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Elderly Division of the Yeongdeok-gun Community Social Security Council conducted a project to support elderly people living alone in remote villages with poor transportation.
On the 19th, members carried out a "Visiting Hairdressing, Bathing, and Side Dish Support Project" in Hoe 1-ri, Namjeong-myeon, for elderly people living alone who are vulnerable to care.
This project was carried out through collaboration between the Elderly Division and various organizations in Yeongdeok-gun. The Yeongdeok-gun Long-term Care Association, 100seeganggujae Home Care Welfare Center, and Hanul Care Service Center provided mobile bathing vehicles, and three volunteers from the Yeongdeok-gun Hairdressers Association participated. Additionally, Ganggu Church prepared side dish sets, and snacks and refreshments were also provided.
The Elderly Division plans to continue identifying elderly people vulnerable to care in remote villages within the jurisdiction in the second half of the year and provide multifaceted welfare services in cooperation with local organizations such as the Yeongdeok-gun Long-term Care Association.
Kang Gyeongmi, head of the Elderly Division of the Yeongdeok-gun Community Social Security Council, said, "We will do our best to implement welfare projects that not only support livelihood but also fill the hearts of elderly people living alone who desperately need care, enhancing their self-esteem and enabling a healthy old age."
