Sancheong-gun to Provide Temporary Emergency Living Support Funds for Low-Income Households... Starting from the 24th

Up to 1,450,000 KRW with prepaid card, no separate application required

Sancheong-gun to Provide Temporary Emergency Living Support Funds for Low-Income Households... Starting from the 24th Sancheong County Office.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is providing temporary emergency living support funds to low-income households struggling to purchase basic consumer goods.

This support is a one-time project aimed at alleviating the livelihood burden of low-income groups facing difficulties due to recent rapid price increases and enhancing their consumption capacity.

The eligible recipients are households holding the status of basic livelihood security recipients, legally designated near-poor classes, or single-parent families receiving child-rearing expenses as of May 29.

The support amount varies by benefit qualification and household size: for basic livelihood security recipients, ▲ those receiving livelihood and medical benefits receive from 400,000 KRW for a single-person household up to 1,450,000 KRW for households of seven or more; ▲ those receiving housing and education benefits, legally designated near-poor classes, and single-parent families receive from 300,000 KRW for a single-person household up to 1,090,000 KRW for households of seven or more. Beneficiaries in care facilities receive 200,000 KRW per person in cash at the respective facility.

The payment method, considering the purpose of support, is through prepaid cards that can restrict usage in entertainment, leisure, and gambling businesses and allow easy post-management instead of cash.

The cards can be collected from May 24 to July 29 by visiting the local town or township office of the registered address with a mask and ID, without a separate application.

However, if it is difficult for elderly or disabled persons to visit the office, a proxy recipient (legal representative or benefit manager) can collect the card by bringing their own and the recipient’s (principal’s) ID and seal (signature accepted).

For inquiries about the distribution of the temporary emergency living support prepaid cards for low-income households, please contact the town or township office of your registered address.

A Sancheong-gun official said, “We hope this temporary emergency living support fund will help alleviate the economic difficulties of low-income households,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure the stability of low-income households’ lives.”
