[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Binggrae announced on the 17th that it received the 'President Award of the Korea Packaging Federation' at the 16th Korea Packaging Exhibition.
The Korea Packaging Exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and is an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding technologies in the packaging industry and contributors to industrial development. The event has been held 16 times since 2007, and this year's ceremony took place on the 14th at KINTEX in Ilsan.
Binggrae was recognized for its cup beverage packaging featuring a cap that allows drinking without a straw, receiving the 'President Award of the Korea Packaging Federation.' The beverage lid is equipped with a cap that can be opened and closed, enabling consumption without a straw. Additionally, the packaging material structure grade was improved from 'difficult to recycle' to 'moderate recyclability,' enhancing resource circulation efficiency.
A Binggrae representative stated, “We developed this hygienic straw-free drinking method with the environment in mind,” and added, “We will continue to develop eco-friendly packaging while maintaining product characteristics and safety.”
