[Exclusive] 40s Father Clings to Vehicle of Teenage Son to Prevent Affair and Speeds Away

[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] A man in his 40s who dragged his teenage son hanging from a vehicle for 10 minutes to stop him from exposing his affair was arrested by the police.

According to the police on the 14th, the Bucheon Sosa Police Station in Gyeonggi Province has booked and is investigating Mr. A (47) on charges of special assault. Mr. A is accused of hanging his 15-year-old son from his vehicle and driving for about 10 minutes near the ecological park parking lot in Okgil-dong, Bucheon, at around 6:40 p.m. on the 13th. He is also charged with knocking down and assaulting his spouse, Mr. B (50), who blocked his vehicle along with his son.

According to the police investigation, Mr. A committed the crime after Mr. B, who suspected Mr. A’s affair, confirmed that he was in the vehicle with a woman on the day of the incident and tried to open the car door. The police responded to a 112 emergency call reporting "the husband is dragging his son hanging from the vehicle," and after a 20-minute pursuit, arrested Mr. A at around 7 p.m. Fortunately, Mr. B and the son did not suffer serious injuries.
