50s Male Dies After Being Hit by KTX at Changwon Jungang Station

A KTX train stopped at the station.

According to Korail, the train involved was a Seoul-bound KTX on the Gyeongjeon Line heading to Masan, passing through Changwon Jungang Station in Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam. The high-speed train did not stop at Changwon Jungang Station and passed through at high speed.

Mr. A died on the tracks at the scene, and train operations in both directions on the Gyeongjeon Line were suspended for about 25 minutes to handle the accident.

Korail and the Railway Special Judicial Police are reviewing CCTV footage and other evidence at the scene to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident.
