[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Jeil Pharma Holdings announced on the 10th that it will initiate changes toward a flexible and creative corporate culture, including improvements in work attire and form of address within its affiliates, including Jeil Yakpum.
Jeil Pharma Holdings recently revised the dress code across all affiliates from formal suits to a no-tie policy as part of creating an "efficient work environment." While the pharmaceutical industry has traditionally maintained suits and ties except during the hottest season, the dress code was updated in response to the growing trend of casual dress culture.
Various campaigns are also being conducted simultaneously. Jeil Pharma Holdings launched the "Greet with a Bright Smile" campaign last year to improve communication among employees, and Jeil Yakpum held a "No Smoking Campaign" on May 31, World No Tobacco Day, to establish a smoke-free culture within the company.
A representative from Jeil Pharma Holdings stated, "As a first step toward creating a horizontal and free internal culture across all affiliates, we revised the work attire and form of address policies. We plan to continue various campaign activities to break away from authoritarian culture, lower barriers between ranks and generations, and become a company where employees can communicate freely without hesitation."
