[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Iseul] Actress Seo Hyewon (28) has joined the cast of 'Alchemy of Souls.'
Her agency Starbase announced on the 9th that Seo Hyewon will appear as Soi in the tvN weekend drama 'Alchemy of Souls' (written by Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, directed by Park Jun-hwa).
Premiering on the 18th, 'Alchemy of Souls' is a fantasy romance action drama set in the Great Ho Kingdom, which exists neither in history nor on any map. The story follows protagonists whose fates are twisted by the soul-swapping magic called Alchemy of Souls, as they overcome challenges and grow. The drama is a collaboration between writers Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, known for 'Hotel Del Luna,' and director Park Jun-hwa, who directed 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim' and 'Touch Your Heart.'
The character Soi, played by Seo Hyewon, is a mysterious figure who becomes entangled in a massive conspiracy in the capital city of the Great Ho Kingdom while searching for Mu-deok (played by Jung So-min). Seo Hyewon previously appeared in dramas such as 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo,' 'True Beauty,' 'Crazy Love,' 'Nevertheless,' 'Jirisan,' and 'I'll Be Your Night.' She recently made a strong impression as Director Jo Yoo-jung in the recently concluded drama 'Business Proposal.'
