Junggyeonryeon Hosts the '2022 Junggyeon Companies Job Fair'

Participation of Over 70 Excellent Mid-sized Companies

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] A job fair featuring over 70 outstanding mid-sized companies will be held. It has returned to an offline format for the first time in two years since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises announced on the 9th that it will jointly host the '2022 Mid-sized Enterprise Job Fair' with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Student Aid Foundation. The event, held on the 5th of next month at COEX Hall B2, will see the participation of leading mid-sized companies from various sectors such as SIMPAC, Gyeongin Yanghaeng, Danal, Douzone Bizon, Taewoong Logics, and BGF Retail.

A representative from the Federation explained, "The 5,526 mid-sized companies, which account for 1.4% of all companies, are the cradle of good jobs responsible for 13.8% of employment," adding, "Many companies comparable to large corporations in terms of wages, welfare, and treatment as well as growth potential are concentrated here."

This year's fair consists of diverse on-site programs including company-specific recruitment consultations and on-site interviews, mid-sized enterprise recruitment briefings, current employee talk shows, and special employment lectures, as well as various online programs such as AI-based job seeker-company matching and job recommendation MBTI tests. A smart waiting system was introduced on-site to enhance convenience for job seekers by allowing them to make recruitment consultation reservations via QR codes of interested companies.

At the 'On-site Interview Booth,' interviews are conducted for job seekers who have passed the preliminary online document screening, while at the 'On-site Matching Booth,' employment consulting experts analyze applicants' strengths and weaknesses based on resumes and self-introductions to assist in matching with participating companies.

Choi Hee-moon, Executive Director of the Federation, stated, "Excellent talent is a key driver of sustainable growth and development not only for mid-sized companies but for all enterprises," adding, "In an era of 7.4% youth unemployment, we hope that this offline fair, held for the first time in two years since the COVID-19 pandemic, will help more mid-sized companies and young people discover a vision for growing together."
